1. Agreement

These Terms govern access to StringsOS, an AI-native localization workspace for product teams. By creating an account, signing in with an identity provider, or using the beta service, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Beta Notice.

StringsOS is currently operated by Sandun Fernando, an individual, ahead of formal company incorporation. References to "StringsOS," "we," "us," and "our" in these Terms mean Sandun Fernando as the current operator. This section will be updated to name the incorporated entity once one is formed.

These Terms are a working beta draft and must be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before general availability, paid launch, or external enterprise contracting.

2. Beta Access

  • StringsOS is currently provided as a beta service and may contain incomplete, experimental, or changing functionality.
  • We may add, remove, limit, or change beta features, integrations, AI workflows, storage behavior, and availability before general release.
  • Beta access does not include a production service-level agreement, uptime commitment, or data durability guarantee unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.
  • You should keep independent backups of source localization files, design assets, and production content.

3. Accounts and Access

  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials and identity provider accounts secure.
  • You may invite only authorized people from your organization or project team.
  • You must promptly remove access for users who should no longer use the workspace.
  • You may not attempt to access another tenant, workspace, project, or account without authorization.

4. Customer Content

Customer Content includes source strings, translations, screenshots, screenshots derived from URLs, Figma content, GitHub content, prompts, comments, metadata, and other material you submit or connect to StringsOS.

  • You retain ownership of Customer Content.
  • You grant StringsOS the limited rights needed to host, process, secure, analyze, display, transform, and transmit Customer Content to provide and improve the service.
  • You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to upload, connect, translate, or process Customer Content.
  • Do not submit regulated, highly sensitive, or prohibited data unless StringsOS has approved the use case in writing and the required contractual safeguards are in place.

5. AI Features

  • AI suggestions are assistive outputs and require human review before use in production.
  • StringsOS must not silently overwrite approved customer content with AI output.
  • Accepted AI suggestions, overrides, and related review metadata may be logged for traceability, audit, quality improvement, and security.
  • You are responsible for reviewing AI output for accuracy, tone, safety, accessibility, placeholders, formatting, intellectual property, and market suitability.

6. Acceptable Use

  • Do not use StringsOS to break the law, infringe rights, distribute malware, attack systems, scrape without authorization, or bypass security controls.
  • Do not use load tests, automation, or integration scripts against production unless explicitly approved by StringsOS.
  • Do not submit content that is unlawful, abusive, exploitative, or intended to harm people or systems.
  • Do not misrepresent AI-generated or translated content as legally, medically, financially, or professionally verified unless reviewed by qualified experts.

7. Pricing and Future Paid Plans

  • Beta access is currently free unless a separate written order or paid plan says otherwise.
  • StringsOS will not automatically convert your beta account into a paid subscription.
  • We will not charge you unless you choose a paid plan and affirmatively accept the applicable pricing, billing, renewal, cancellation, and tax terms.
  • Eligible beta users may receive a first-year discount when paid plans launch. Discount eligibility, amount, duration, expiration, transferability, and exclusions will be defined in the published beta discount terms.

8. Third-Party Services

StringsOS may connect to Supabase, GitHub, Figma, AI providers, analytics providers, email systems, payment processors, and other third-party services. Your use of those services may be governed by their own terms, permissions, security settings, and data handling practices.

9. Security and Suspension

We may suspend or limit access if we reasonably believe there is security risk, abusive use, unauthorized access, legal exposure, payment abuse, or a violation of these Terms. We will try to provide notice when practical, but urgent security or legal issues may require immediate action.

10. Disclaimers and Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, beta access is provided as-is and as-available. StringsOS disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, and error-free operation. Liability terms, indemnities, dispute resolution, governing law, and enterprise-specific terms must be finalized by qualified legal counsel before general availability.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms as the beta evolves. Material changes should be presented in the product or by email before they apply to continued use where required by law or commercial practice.

12. Contact

For legal, privacy, or security questions, contact the StringsOS team using the official support or business contact channel provided to your organization.
